Pat & Sue: I am currently trying to find via the internet or other means a way to hear the song. I will try a music store shortly if I have no luck on the internet. REPLY: SONG TITLE? Hi Anne, Thanks for getting back to me. My recollection was that it was a slow ballad. From memory, it had something to do with a reflection of his life or reflection of him in the music industry, or both? That's how he described it before he performed it in the TV documentry. It was very personal to him, that's why he did not perform it often. Perhaps if you knew of any documentry names I could try to find out through process of elimination. SONG TITLE? I saw a TV interview with Neil Sedaka about 10 years ago. Neil mentioned that he had a favourite song of his but never performed it live. He did sing the song in the documentary. I never got the name of the song but loved it. I would love to find the title and hear the song again. Can anyone help? Thanks! Dean

"WAKING UP IS HARD TO DO" Hello Jozef, I agree with you "Waking Up Is Hard To Do" is a great collection. My favourite is Where The Toys Are, it makes me laugh every time I hear it! Marc Sedaka has written great new lyrics for some of the songs. Anne
NEW SITE + "WAKING UP IS HARD TO DO" Marcelo: Congratulations with this new site – it looks very professional! Thanks for the banner to the Rock Hall petition too. Last week I received the "Waking Up Is Hard To Do" CD. When I first heard about the "children CD" I thought "Oh my God, what is he going to do now?"... But I must say – this is a fantastic new set, it really surprised me! I even begin to like these versions more than the originals! For the "older" fans, if you didn't purchase this CD yet, buy it now! You feel about a 50 years younger, lol...!! Neil rocks! Jozef

GREAT SONGS FINALLY ON CD
Friends, check out this new release! Two of Neil's masterpieces were recently put together on this double-CD album. If you listen to "Emergence" (from 1971) and "Solitaire" (from 1972) you will understand why Neil's songwriting ability brought him back to top in the 1970's. These albums showed a new and prolific side of Neil Sedaka and how he reinvented himself when the Tra-La-Days were over... And even though they weren't exactly best-seller in their time, they featured songs that would later become massive hits such as: Solitaire and That's Where The Music Takes Me. Some of these songs (especially the ones from "Emergence") could already be found on some hard-to-find CDs, but others are making their debut on compact disc, including Beautiful You (the original version – and a personal favorite) and Anywhere You're Gonna Be. So, if you haven't got it yet, you can find it here. And for the folks that have never heard these tracks, you don't know what you're missing! Track List:
