LETTERS FROM THE ROAD
WRITTEN BY
NEIL SEDAKA /
PHIL CODY
I look in the mirror and rehearse what I'm gonna say,
Walk around, goin' over the words, repeating them all day.
In the letters I write on these cold blue nights that are much too dark and long
I imagine myself back home with you alone.
Tonight, tonight, you're a million miles away
And I don't feel right when there's still so much that I wanna say,
But I'll play my part with a lonely heart that's ready to explode
And letters from the road.
The wheels of this caddy go rumblin' through the night,
Runnin' hot with burning desire to get on with my life.
I've been missing you so, but I've got to let go and get back up to speed
And follow this road wherever it may lead.
Tonight, tonight, you're a million miles away
And I don't feel right when there's still so much that I wanna say,
But I'll play my part with a lonely heart that's ready to explode
And letters from the road.
I can hear that lonesome highway callin',
Listen to that siren song and I start fallin'.
Think about you night and day, wanna be there right away,
P.S. I love you.
Tonight, tonight, you're a million miles away
And I don't feel right when there's still so much that I wanna say,
But I'll play my part with a lonely heart that's ready to explode
And letters from the road.
Tonight, tonight, you're a million miles away
And I don't feel right when there's still so much that I wanna say,
But I'll play my part with a lonely heart that's ready to explode
And letters from the road,
Letters from the road,
Letters from the road,
Letters from the road,
Letters from the road.
