A MOSCOW NIGHT
LYRICS: NEIL SEDAKA / MUSIC: TCHAIKOVSKY'S 6TH SYMPHONY

I keep on dreaming of a Moscow night,
The night I saw you and my heart took flight.
I sat alone there, to hear the music,
The Russian symphony begins to play.
Sweet tender moment that lasts for ever,
Could this be fate that brought me here tonight?

The lights went down, the music starts to play.
The theatre's dim and as I look away,
There in the shadow I see your image,
I feel the magic as your eyes meet mine.
Is this just merely imagination?
I can't believe the power of this night.

The tender rhapsody begins to sing
And winter magically turns into spring.
Can this be happening, I must be dreaming,
Two strangers meeting on a Moscow night.
Is it the music that has me reeling?
Or am I being a romantic fool?

The music stops, the lights come up at last,
You're there before me and my heart beats fast.
You're all I dreamed of, now and for ever,
Two strangers meeting on a Moscow night.
Can this be happening, I must be dreaming,
My heart sings "Darling,................................."
My heart sings "Darling,................................."

(the missing lines are in Russian; can anyone fill them in?)
