On Friday, January 15, 2009, BBC Four will be premiering "Neil Sedaka: That's When The Music Takes Me", an hour long documentary spanning Neil's entire career, including rare home movies, and performance clips from his most recent tour. SEDAKA ROCKS VEGAS Just back from Vegas and glad to say it was one of the best shows I have ever seen Sedaka do. riday night was just amazing, out of all the concerts I have attended this has to be up there with the best. Neil was on top form, boucing and dancing around, joking with the crowd. Do You Remember is better live than on CD, 100% show, 100% entertainment and I went there thinking this would be my last concert, but with Sedaka in form like that, I'm not sure it will be the last. I can see him going for many many more years. It was like a Sedaka from ten years ago. Bravo Neil, don't stop. Gus

THE MUSIC OF MY LIFE I received my copy of the album a few days ago. I had heard the tracks already through a friend of mine, but I was waiting for the CD to arrive to hear it from start to finish before I posted my notes. I think this is a GREAT album indeed, very well produced. I do miss the production credits though. We know David Foster produced the first track, but they don't mention it anywhere. Musically, this album reminds me a lot of the "Emergence" album, which is one of my very favorites. The strings arrangements in songs like I Keep Searching and the powerful beat in I Got To Believe In Me Again reminds me of Neil at his best!

CONCERT PROGRAMME I have been a big fan of Neil Sedaka for years and saw him at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on 18th June. I was thrilled at the concert but disappointed not to get a programme. DUBLIN CONCERT The Dublin concert was fabulous; packed auditorium, wonderful atmosphere and Neil was on top form. He sang three of the new songs from "The Music Of My Life" album which is about to be released... I can't wait to hear the rest of them. We met Neil backstage after the show and he was his usual absolutely charming self. Thank you Neil for a wonderful night of music and I hope the rest of the tour goes well. Anne

It might be my last set of pop songs, as I feel I cannot top these.", said Neil." Anne: Standing On The Inside and One More Ride On The Merry-Go-Round have not been fruitful unfortunatly. I'll keep trying. Pat & Sue: I am currently trying to find via the internet or other means a way to hear the song. I will try a music store shortly if I have no luck on the internet. REPLY: SONG TITLE? Hi Anne, Thanks for getting back to me. My recollection was that it was a slow ballad. From memory, it had something to do with a reflection of his life or reflection of him in the music industry, or both? That's how he described it before he performed it in the TV documentry. It was very personal to him, that's why he did not perform it often. Perhaps if you knew of any documentry names I could try to find out through process of elimination.
